Brian Simpson, after graduating from Northern Illinois University, keyboardist and composer he relocated to Los Angeles where he was soon playing alongside musicians Gerald Albright and Norman Brown and eventually on a world tour with Janet Jackson. In 1990 Simpson received a call from George Duke that led to a decade of touring and production work with the late jazz legend. It was his tenure with George that led to working with a variety of artists, from James Ingram and Anita Baker to Dave Koz and Wayman Tisdale. The popularity of his music world wide has kept Mr. Simpson on a seemingly endless world tour which in 2019 included Japan, Australia, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, and South Africa.

Braxton Brothers, the acclaimed Jazz twins, Wayne and Nelson Braxton, a.k.a. the Braxton Brothers, are poised to release their latest collection of jazz, funk fusion in an album that celebrates the art and mysteries of love. It has been said of the Braxton Brothers that they “compose some of the most in-the-pocket smooth jazz melodies around…”

Jesse J, celebrated internationally for pushing the boundaries of jazz both musically and demographically, she is revolutionizing the genre as a young Latina, embodying glamour, feminine strength, and musical mastery. Beyond her solo work, Jessy has contributed to popular TV shows including Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and the Grammys. In 2022, she celebrated another milestone with the #1 Album of the Year on Jazztrax and topped the charts again with her Christmas album on SmoothJazz.com. Jessy J® continues to captivate audiences worldwide with her electrifying performances and distinctive musical voice.

Club Phred is a perennial favorite party band that grace our stage every year. They are a group of musicians who on average have over thirty years of professional experience. They share a love of music, from the early days of rock and roll through the present, including rock, r&b, jazz and funk.

This year they will be joined by musical icons Tom "Bones" Malone and "Blue Lou" Marini of Blues Brothers Horns fame and Frank Greene of Count Basie Orchestra/Late Show with David Letterman - CBS Orchestra (shown in order on image below).

More than just your average singing group, the members of Naturally 7 have perfected an intriguing a cappella style they’ve branded “Vocal Play”—singing as instruments. In its quest to celebrate the voice, this seven-man crew not only sings but also creates every backing instrument heard on its songs, including drums, bass, guitars, horns, flutes, and turntables. Stepping beyond R&B and pop, Naturally 7 taps into various genres, from traditional gospel and rock to 17th century baroque, that on the surface do not seem to mesh. Rick Braun is a dynamic trumpeter, composer, and producer, with over 20 #1 Smooth Jazz hits. He has enjoyed a career longevity that is rare in this business. He has crafted his own distinctive sound and become a staple on contemporary jazz radio. He has produced No. 1 hits for David Benoit, Marc Antoine, and former Rod Stewart band sidekick, Jeff Golub. Braun achieved collaborative success on massive hits with Boney James, as a member of RnR with saxophonist Richard Elliot, and with BWB, a powerhouse trio completed by Grammy® winners Kirk Whalum and Norman Brown. He has made a mark staying true to his own musical voice and eclectic influences that have allowed him to collaborate across genres with some of the biggest names in music, including Tina Turner, Tom Petty, Sadé, Natalie Cole and REO Speedwagon.

Over the years, Peter White has maintained a reputation as one of the most versatile and prolific acoustic guitarists on the contemporary jazz landscape. Armed with an unparalleled combination of lyricism and energy, he combines elements of jazz, pop and classical guitar to create a sound that is singular and at the same time accessible to a broad audience.

Richard Elliot started out as a member of the jazz-rock unit, KittyHawk, playing lyricon (a wind synthesizer) and saxophone, and recording several albums with them. He then became a member of the funk band Tower of Power, playing tenor sax for five years during the 1980s. He also did a stint as a member of the Yellowjackets. His solo career took off when he remade the Percy Sledge classic "When a Man Loves a Woman", which had also been remade by Michael Bolton. Other well-known songs include "In the Groove", "Take Your Time", "Crush", "Chill Factor", "Corner Pocket" and "Sly", as well as remakes of classic pop songs such as "I'm Not in Love" and the Luther Vandross hits "Here and Now" and "Your Secret Love".

Keb' Mo'

With five GRAMMY® Awards, 14 Blues Foundation Awards, and a groundbreaking career spanning more than 50 years under his belt, Keb’ Mo’s got nothing left to prove. Keb’ began his remarkable journey at the age of 21, when he landed his first significant gig playing with Jefferson Airplane violinist Papa John Creach. For 20 years, Keb’ would work primarily behind the scenes, establishing himself as a respected guitarist, songwriter, and arranger with a unique gift for linking the past and present in his evocative playing and singing. Though he recorded a one-off album in 1980 under his birth name, Kevin Moore, it wasn’t until 1994 that he would introduce the world to Keb’ Mo’ with the release of his widely acclaimed self-titled debut. Critics were quick to take note of Keb’s modern, genre-bending take on old-school sounds, and two years later, he garnered his first GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album with Just Like You. Alex Bugnon & Jackiem Joyner

Alex Bugnon has been a prolific, energetic force on the contemporary music scene for almost three decades. His trained at the Paris Conservatory before landing in Boston to study at the Berklee School of Music. It was here in the U.S. that his exposure to a diversity of musical styles, from R&B to gospel, Jazz and funk, began to shape and influence his personal sound. Shortly after moving to New York City, Alex began touring with almost every R&B artists, such as Melba Moore, Freddie Jackson, Patti Austin, James Ingram and Glenn Jones to name a few. But it would be his encounter with saxophonist Najee that would ultimately turn the tide for him. Signed to Orpheus Records, Najee would make the introduction that would result in Alex’s first recording contract.

Jackiem Joyner is a contemporary saxophonist, author, and music producer that has set the bar high in his nearly two-decade-long career as a performer. With a number one jazz album, numerous Billboard chart-topping hits, and a series of critically acclaimed books to his name, Joyner has proven himself a rare artist capable of transcending his instrument and captivating mainstream audiences.
